The project explores at the intersection of materials and forms resampling. The scene is inspired and redesigned from a dream, with a prototype of my childhood house. Materials and form samples are collected from hometown residential environment to create the atmosphere of a memory. The density and amalgamation of artifacts in the scene are illustrations of the notion of “grotesque”. The animated wall bricks movement merges physical material with digitized samples, blurring the line between reality and memory.

Rustic material were collected at my childhood living space to create the initial catalog for resampling. Qualities were emphasized on the intersection between artifial and natural.
